What a year 2013 is shaping up to be! Evan & Jennifer, Leah and Brian, Jenn + Chris. Get ready Kentucky wedding video!

We are looking forward to an incredible year in 2013.  We have several bookings for May, June, July, August, and October (what happened September????).  Some dates are still available so if you're interested in booking just send us an email or give us a call.  It's always a mix as to what dates we have available. Below are a few of our recent couples or bride and moms.  Our meetings have anyone from a solo bride to talk about the day to 6 or 7 friends and family members.  You bring the people and we'll take the pic!

Oh Jennifer and Bonnie... The wedding video is definitely going to get some smiles. This is Jennifer and Bonnie.  Chris is marrying Jennifer at the Galt House with a Cochran/Archibald wedding (room names) on July 20th.  It's going to be a blast. Every wedding we've done at the Galt House has had an unbelievable style and class.  This one may top the energy charts though!

We have to mention that we are working with eMotion Image on this one.  It's the photography side of Kentucky's premier wedding film service.  Check out this link to some recent work. www.eMotionImageAndVideo.com

Leah and Mindy (Dad was due left :) Going to be an incredible wedding at the Olmsted.Leah and Brian (Mom pictured and dad on the left....Just out of the frame:) are getting married and trying to take the title from a recent wedding we filmed at the Olmsted of the most perfect weather ever.  If you've never enjoyed the long drive into the Masonic Homes off of Frankfort during the Fall, you are missing out on the gorgeous, lush greens, the many, many established trees with turning leaves, and the simply striking facade of the Olmsted.  ICVideo is always looking to get that next perfect shot and I think Leah's wedding may make that happen!  Can't wait to see what ICVideo and the talented photographer Josh Perkins of Redtree Photography create for this family.

How lucky can you be to work with this couple at Cathedral of the Assumption and Muhammad Ali? Very!

Evan and Jennifer...  October can't get here fast enough.  We met on a Friday, and as couples often do, Evan and Jennifer wanted time to think it over.  We don't hold dates, but Evan said he let us know the following week.  Well, Monday came and they stopped by.  {Flash}  This is the look of wonderful decision.  I can't wait to film their wedding (we filmed his bothers three years prior) and set the day to music with ICVideo's own style and approach.  Filming at Cathedral of the Assumption and Muhammad Ali center is defiantly going to push this video to the top of our favorites.

p.s.  If you come in to sign we take your picture.  You look great just having came from the gym Jennifer!

We are without question lucky to have so many couples.  Stay tuned for more great videos from recent weddings and best yet... The "pic" from the weddings above.

Caitlin + Edgar - a speech, a ceremony, and a heck of a good time

Our previous post was a little preview of what was to come.  An incredible day with a fun loving couple that hired ICVideo to make a wedding video.  We did.  It wasn't that easy though...

Cathedral of Assumption and a Louisville Wedding Video

First off, we don't simply shove a contract out to someone and say "sign, book now before you lose your date, we're the cheapest, we're the best," or a million other sales tactics.  What we do is talk.  We first met Caitlin and Edgar at a bridal show, way back in 2011.  We meet a lot of brides, grooms, moms, dads, and friends, but since we kind of sit back and just let people watch our films, the right couples always seem to step forward.  Caitlin and Edgar did just that, and we had a feeling they would be an ICVideo couple.

We got the email inquiry on the 5th of July 2011 and spoke with Caitlin immediately about the wedding. When they came into the studio we all sat down, talked about a million things, watched videos, and we all knew that we were a fit for each other.  They signed and the countdown began.

We ran into each other at other wedding shows, bumped into each other at Mellwood Arts Center (the reception site), and each time it was a smile and conversation.  That's what we love.  Excitement, energy, and good people.  We don't do weddings to record "something."  We record a wedding to show how much love, attention, energy, and devotion a couple has with each other and all those around.

This video has made me smile the 30 or so times I've watched it.  This is what every bride and groom deserves.  A story of the day.

Mellwood Arts Center Wedding Reception

From the meetings and conversations before the wedding to the planning and prep the week of your wedding, we work hard to film the day and create each story.  It's not about having the best cameras in the market to film with that make the day (though it helps).  It's not about preparing the day before so that every battery is charged, every lens is cleaned, and every camera is ready (though it helps).  It's not about working that day.  It's about being the skilled professional waiting for the perfect moments (with the best equipment), and taking all the good pieces and parts of the day and doing what we call "stitching".  Stitching a story like Caitlin and Edgars from Cathedral of Assumption to Mellwood Arts Center is what it's all about.  I've said it before, but Caitlin and Edgar, thanks for letting us capture your day.

Wedding by: Maggie with Weekend Wedding Warrior, Florals, design, and lighting by Paul and Alex with Fleur de Lis Events and Design, Photos by William and Alyssa of Veritas Photography (**All photos in this post are tiny little screen grabs not suitable for printing or full rez viewing.  Always hire a great photographer), all brought together at Cathedral of Assumption and Mellwood Arts Center room 1.

Kentucky Wedding Video - St. Martin of Tours and The Fort Knox Leaders Club

Andrea & Casey Clark Flaherty and Fort Knox Wedding from ICVideo on Vimeo.

We have to admit that often our favorite clients are referrals. It is always so nice to have the chance to work with familiar friends and family, sometimes 2,3, and even 4 times. We orginally filmed Andraya's sisters wedding in 2009 (check out the video from four years ago here). It was so neat to go back to the same beautiful church and capture the day. There were several of the same guest and so many smiling faces that seemed familiar.

St Martin of Tours is a traditional Catholic church located in Flaherty KY with the reception portion being held at The Leaders Club on Fort Knox. Great locations for anyone in Meade or Hardin County.

Venue visit: St. Louis Bertrand - The traditional wedding ceremony

I've got three favorite Catholic churches.  Not to say I don't love them all and the unique feeling that they provide, but St. James, Cathedral of the Assumption, and St. Louis Bertrand are all so exquisitely maintained.  They all have something that makes you hold your breath and look around no matter if it's your first visit or your hundredth.  This video showcases a variety of videos from the past 4 years.  Enjoy.

Bess + Chad @ Cathedral of Assumption and Mellwood Arts Center

This was the best last minute decision Bess made for her wedding. I think she booked us for her date three weeks out. We are so thankful that she let ICVideo be a part of her day and capture all the incredible moments that she had with friends and family.
From the moment we stepped into Cathedral of Assumption that day, the light was bouncing from the stained glass windows all throughout the church. It was a perfect day for everyone.  We were fortunate to work with the always talented (and humorous) Robert Burge with Robert Burge Photography.
The ceremony is also in the official ICVideo record books as the longest ever. Coming in at 1hr and 25min, it beat the last one by five minutes which also happened to be at the Cathedral of Assumption. There were so many songs, speakers reading from both the bible and the heart, and the priest spoke so well of the commitment that Chad and Bess have to each other. He also announced that many years ago, in the same church, he had wed Bess' parents. It's amazing to be a part of something like that.  It's hard to imagine a mother lighting the candle for her daughter that she herself had lit years before.
The Reception at the Mellowood Arts Center looked stunning as once again In Bloom Again made the reception venue every girls dream. The friends, food, and festivities were filled with nothing but smiles and laughter. We are so lucky to get to be apart of so many great weddings.
