We have to admit that often our favorite clients are referrals. It is always so nice to have the chance to work with familiar friends and family, sometimes 2,3, and even 4 times. We orginally filmed Andraya's sisters wedding in 2009 (check out the video from four years ago here). It was so neat to go back to the same beautiful church and capture the day. There were several of the same guest and so many smiling faces that seemed familiar.

St Martin of Tours is a traditional Catholic church located in Flaherty KY with the reception portion being held at The Leaders Club on Fort Knox. Great locations for anyone in Meade or Hardin County.

I'm not really sure where to start with this one so I'll start with the email.  

Tom - Hello there ICVideo. I was interested in learning a little more about your same-day edit videos. We're interested in showing something like this at our wedding reception but wanted to get more information to include prices and timelines.

ICVideo - Fantastic!  We love Same Day Edits (SDE's).  We've been doing true SDE's for several years.  A true SDE is when all the footage, all the shots, all the words spoken and memories made are filmed day of the wedding. I've seen more than a couple people call a photo montage, love story, or even shots from the week of a SDE, but it's not the same.  A true SDE is the emotion of the day, filmed that day, and shared by the bride and groom with the friends and family they invited to be a part of their new lives together.  There is simply nothing else like a good ICVideo, Louisville Kentucky, Same Day Edit.  It's the perfect way to have your wedding video show Kentucky and Louisville off to your friends and family.

Not back to the really interesting part about the first time I spoke to Tom.  He wanted a SDE.  That's great.  ICVideo normally delivers other parts of the production as well.  It usually includes a full ceremony, key reception events, and host of other pieces and parts of the day that the bride and groom decide.  Tom (and his bride to be RaeAnne) only wanted a SDE.  Said he'd seen one in California and it was all that he remembered from the wedding.  Which after watching... is the wedding :)

So for the first time we had to make sure that the day and the story told was filmed, edited, and delivered in high definition for Tom and RaeAnne and all the guest.  The video above says it all.  I think we succeeded as the entire crown laughed, cried, smiled, and oohed and aahed at just the right moments.  (If you do a Same Day Edit right, you know where those moments are.  It's not a trick, but a skill).

-------On to the day------

We started pretty early with RaeAnne and the ladies at the Galt House in Louisville, KY on the 9th floor in a incredible suite.  We walked in and standing just inside the door was the always incredible make-up artist Nicole Grote with Artisty HD.  Artistry HD and Nicole are always fantastic to work with.  She the friend you want beside you on your wedding day, but with kick-ass make-up skills.  

As we got set-up with a camera and rolling, we were able to capture all the work that goes into a bride's day.  Brides, if you have two hours scheduled for hair and make-up schedule three.  If you have 3 hours scheduled, bump it up to four hours.  You get the idea.  So we were able to capture the signed shoes, details, the dress (part 1), and a truly stunning bride getting ready for her man.

We were also filming Tom.  Who was waiting on the guys.  So if you need the guys there at 11am, tell them 10am.  If you need them at noon tell them 11am.  (See a pattern???).  Were the girls take a minute or two guys have it so easy.  It's a pop of the collar (check), tying the shoes (check), and snapping some buttons (check).  Tom looked sharp in his dress blues and ICVideo wants to personally thank him and RaeAnne both for their service to our country.

As everyone arrived at the Gillespie we were once again in awe of how stunning the venue looked.  Even though ICVideo has filmed at the Gillespie since the first wedding ever (we were personally invited in to film the first wedding for the bride and groom and promotional material the Gillespie used for years :), we had never seen the sides draped with cloth as it looked that day.  Working with Jeannie and Ashley of Ashby Weddings and Events was an absolute pleasure.  Kudos to all for how incredible the venue looked.  From the gold Chiavari chairs to beautiful chandeliers the Gillespie and it's couples are always trendy.

We were also given a great opportunity to see the city as Tom and RaeAnne made their way through downtown Louisville for the wedding day.  It's the little moments in-between the photos that seem to have the most emotion.  The subtle touches and smiles are just waiting to be remembered.

With the start of the ceremony we had memorial candles, proud mothers, and a constant line of good looking guys and girls all waiting for the beautiful bride.  As she walked in and Tom first saw her I thought he was going to walk halfway down the aisle to meet her.  He was beyond excited and smitten with his stunning bride.

The ceremony was heartfelt with words from friends and the officiant offering a lifetime of advice and guidance to the bride and groom.  We were able to capture the sand ceremony and we can tell you that they talked the entire time about the rush of the moment.  It was great to be able to share this part of the ceremony with the guest in the SDE.  

We ended the night with the typically unique moments of entrance (with an Army welcome), some wonderful first speeches (you know the laugh, cry, what am I doing type), and ended with a little cake smash and some very emotional dances.

The Same Day Edit showed shortly after the dance floor opened and we think Tom and RaeAnne loved it.  We'll let them be the judge of that.

A wonderful preview from a wedding at Woodhaven Country Club for Tawan and Deven.

It was an incredible day with perfect people and perfect weather. As always our bride was stunning, the groom was handsome, and Woodhaven Country Club was immaculate as always.

Whether you're sweet and polite or fun and mischievous, this cake cutting appeals to every couple.  Newlyweds Kaycee and Jeffrey celebrated their Louisville Wedding at The Olmsted in St. Matthews.  The bride and groom carefully cut the first piece of their beautiful wedding cake by Plehn’s Bakery.  At the encouragement of the bride, the best man and maid of honor scooted closer so that wedding photographer Amy Shepherd could capture them in the moment.  The brother and sister of the couple cheered them on to what they thought would be a hilarious cake smash.  On the count of three, Kaycee and Jeffrey wheeled around and smashed the cake into their sibling's faces to become the most surprising cake smash in ICVideo history.  After the uproarious laughter, the party returned to the dance floor to enjoy live music by The Louisville Crashers.  View the preview highlight video here.

This is the third in a series of three Louisville wedding highlight videos that ICVideo produced for Nicole and Rob this past fall that captures all of the amazing energy, excitement, and celebration following the ceremony and kicks off their grand reception.  Nicole and Rob chose Ellen Fox with Shafox Weddings & Events to create them an unforgettable reception at the Seelbach Hotel.  Kristina Haysley and the staff at the Seelbach provided impeccable service that catered to the bride and groom allowing them to enjoy every minute of their fabulous wedding.  The Seelbach Medallion Ballroom was bursting with colors from elaborate floral centerpieces designed by Wayne Esterle with In Bloom Again, gorgeous lighting, and of course a decadent cake from Mert's Cake.  ICVideo had the pleasure of working along side of Josh Perkins with Redtree Photography to capture all of these amazing moments.  Nicole and Rob's wedding was one of the most exciting receptions that went on into the wee hours of the morning.  Thanks Nicole and Rob for including us in your day.  It was fantastic!

The video above says it all.  It's your day.  It's our canvas.  What we do is capture every moment.  In this picture there are so many venues.  We've filmed at most of the finest locations for a Louisville wedding. Video is simply what we do.  We've filmed at the following venues and are always looking to return to create something even more intimate for our Louisville wedding brides in our video.

We've had the pleasure of filming at The Galt House.  From the Waterford Room in the Rivue Tower, to the newly remodeled Archibald, and the Grand Ballrooms and salons of the East tower.  It has character and charm along with a variety of spaces for any size wedding.  The Galt House is a perfect venue.

One venue we had the pleasure of filming in is The Gillespie.  When The Gillespie held it's first wedding, we were invited by the owners and the first bride and groom to film the wedding as a promotional piece for The Gillespie.  The large space, the mezzanine, and the details that surround the space make it a perfect choice for an Louisville wedding.

On the right are two amazing venues each with their own character and charm.  Glassworks has an incredible rooftop view looking into the city.  The videos we've filmed on the rooftop always have jsut a little bit of wind, a blushing bride, and the best backdrop you can have - Our beautiful city.  Glassworks weddings can also be held on the 2nd or 1st floor.  Both spaces are unique and have an incredible display of art and history for you and your guest to enjoy.  Glassworks is the perfect Louisville Wedding venue.  Video is a must to be able to capture all that it holds.

Frazier Museum also has a rooftop and overlooks the Ohio River.  Our rooftop wedding videos from Frazier History Museum have had from 50 to over 300 guest.  It's an incredible space with so much to offer.  Working with Julie is always a pleasure and the 4th floor has an amazing loft style space that is perfect for ceremonies or weddings.  ICVideo was fortunate enough to film the first rooftop wedding of 2011.  Frazier Museum Weddings are definitely some of our favorites.

The last two venues I'll mention are the premier hotels of the region.  A Downtown Louisville Wedding at either The Brown Hotel or at The Seelbach are always elegant affairs.  Both are within a short distance of many of the areas ceremony locations and place your guest just minutes from a what Louisville has to offer.

The Seelbach has both a Grand Ballroom and the expansive Medallion Ballroom.  ICVideo has seen 400+ guest receiving the red carpet treatment numerous times with a courteous wait staff, live music, and a perfect ambiance for a Louisville Wedding.  With the high vaulted ceilings and custom linens, the room transforms into every brides perfect backdrop for ICVideo's Louisville Wedding Videography.  We love filming at The Seelbach.  ICVideo also recently created a video for the Seelbach Hilton Bridal Event which you can find here.

The Brown Hotel is a four diamond AAA hotel.  And the posh exuberance is best demonstrated in the fabled Crystal Ballroom.  Everytime ICVideo is comissioned to film at the Brown Hotel it is a breath taking experience.  The room can be used to accent the decorations or the decorations can be used to accent the room.  Either way, a Brown Hotel Wedding is always a sight to behold.  There are so many places inside and around the hotel it simply helps us to create some breath taking wedding.
